Holy shitake mushrooms! I can’t believe I’m going to even post our projected September budget here but I am. I’m scared to death to tell you what we pay on a few things but I figured we all have something we are financially ashamed of, right?
This is the first time we have ever done ANYTHING like this before. Like I said in my budgeting frustration post, we are very private people so this was very hard for us to commit to. Because of that, we will be leaving our actual income out of the equation but will give you rounded +/- averages when we come back with what the month actually turned out to be. Sounds fair? Good!
(Taking a deep breath)… here goes nothing..
Our Projected September Budget
Car payment: $577.25
Cell phone: $175.00
Car/Renters Insurance: $111
Comcast (internet and phone only): $49.89
Ga Power: $92.80
Ga South (gas): $30.51
Parents (furniture): $200.00
Georgia Dept of Revenue: $60.00
Internal Revenue Services: $75.00
Credit Card: $40.00
Hulu Plus: $7.99
Quarterly - Due in September
Life Insurance (Nat): $41.34
Life Insurance (Scott): $56.04
The total projected income flying out the door this month is $3,251.81. Dang it, that’s a lot of money. Taking another deep breath as my issues about money are rising up again. Ha, I forgot to add that one to my budgeting frustrations post. Oh well, now you know.
Why are we doing this?
You’re probably wondering why we are doing this? I am too!!
When we sat down to last week to do our budget, we realize it wasn’t something we stuck to. We pretend we do but we don’t.
Publicly talking about it holds us more accountable to it and ourselves. This makes it more difficult to ignore because I fully expect you to keep me straight. Or at least I hope you will.
So, what does your September budget look like?
